How to lose weight well channel 4. Trust me I am a doctor BBC 2. Tom Kerridge’s lose weight for good BBC 2.
It seems that January is the month that we have several programmes giving us information on how to lose weight.

How to lose weight well

This programme is where people try the different diets that are on the market including crash diets. Some of them seem horrendous to me.How to loose weight well

The outcomes from the crash diets seem to be that yes you do lose weight. But you are not happy and are very hungry and can be low in energy. Crash diets are good to get you started on a weight loss programme and changing your mindset. There is little point going on a crash diet and then going back to your normal eating habits. The best way is to change the way you eat, and of course, exercise is important too.

Trust me I am a doctor

This is my favourite as they test things although it is only a small number of people used. I find it useful and informative.

Trust me I am a doctorThey tested coconut oil which is very high in calories also olive oil and butter. They split the volunteers into three groups, and each group would introduce a set amount of either coconut oil, olive oil or butter into their daily diet. There are no other changes to their diet. The results where that coconut oil came out on top for lowering cholesterol in their bodies. Followed by olive oil and I am afraid to say that butter increased slightly the cholesterol in their bodies. So it seems that coconut oil does help with cholesterol levels.

Interestingly when they tested eating carbs at night, our bodies process the carbs more effectively than if we consume carbs in the morning. I found that really interesting as I prefer to eat carbs with my evening meal.

How Hypnotherapy Can help you to lose weight.

Hypnotherapy can help you to deal with:

  • Emotional eating.
    Thinking differently about food.
Being able to stop eating even if there is food left on your plate.

We all know that to lose weight we need to eat less than our bodies need. But when confronted with that cake, packet of crisps, a bar of chocolate or some other food that we struggle to say no. All our good intentions go out of the window.

Hypnotherapy can help you. If you would like to find out more, please email me or give me a call.
